Whether you’re looking to capture strings in a live room or fine-tune arrangements together, I offer flexible session options in a professional studio environment. Let’s bring your music to life—together, in the room.

How in-person recording works.

1. Initial Contact & Project Details

Every project begins with a conversation. We'll schedule a call—by phone or Zoom—so you can share an overview of your vision and goals. From there, we'll map out the best path forward, whether that means co-writing in the studio, sharing an existing score, or preparing parts in advance to make the most of our time on recording day.

2. Contract & Scheduling

In-person recording sessions are billed based on flat rates according to tiers of complexity/length: small, medium, large, and extended (see the rates chart for details!). Once we agree on which tier is most appropriate for your project, a work-for-hire contract will outline the project’s scope (including which instruments are expected to be made available for the recording), its assigned tier, and the conditions under which the scope or tier may need to be adjusted. The contract will also include the scheduled recording date. A non-refundable payment of 50 percent of the performance fee is required in advance, prior to the recording date. The remaining 50 percent is due upon completion of the on-site work. If requested, I’m also happy to sign a non-disclosure agreement to ensure confidentiality before the project is released.

3. Session Day

We’ll kick off the session with a brief walkthrough of the day’s plan, then dive into setup—checking levels, dialing in tones, and making sure everything sounds just right in the room and in the mix. I’ll take a few moments to warm up to ensure I'm fully dialed in, then we’ll get started. For each melody or section, I recommend recording at least three takes. This not only gives us a solid range of performances to choose from, but also captures subtle nuances that can bring the final track to life. Throughout the session, collaboration is key. We’ll listen back together, discuss what’s working, and make adjustments as needed. The goal is to stay focused, creative, and responsive—so the final result feels both polished and authentic.

4. Review & Wrap Up

Once tracking is complete, we’ll review the takes together to make sure everything meets your expectations. Any additional production notes or next steps will be discussed at this time.

5. Share Your Release Links

Once your music is out in the world, don’t forget to send over links to your streaming platforms, music videos, or any promotional content. I’m always happy to help amplify your release and share it within my network!

Pricing for in-person recording.

In-person recording sessions are billed at flat rates per song, with pricing determined by the complexity and length of each track. This tiered structure ensures clarity and consistency, so you’ll know exactly what to expect before we hit record. A session can be as simple as one song at a single tier—like one Quick Take—or a mix of multiple tiers across different songs, such as two Quick Takes and one Bronze Track.

  • Quick Takes – $100 per song

Quick Takes are ideal for short, focused additions—like adding strings to a chorus or bridge. Each Quick Take includes up to two minutes of music and a single track of one instrument. This option is perfect when you need a simple, high-quality part added to elevate key emotional moments in your song.

  • Bronze Track – $150 per song

Bronze Tracks are perfect for adding a cohesive string part that weaves through your entire song. This option includes up to five minutes of music and one track of a single instrument, making it ideal for establishing a musical through line that supports your arrangement from start to finish. Whether it’s subtle texture or melodic support, the Bronze Track adds depth without overwhelming the mix.

  • Silver Session – $300 per song

Silver Sessions bring the richness of a string quartet or small chamber ensemble to your music. This package includes up to five minutes of music and multiple tracks across several instruments, allowing for lush, layered arrangements. Ideal for artists aiming to elevate their sound, the Silver Session adds cinematic depth and emotional resonance—perfect for creating a sweeping, immersive experience that leaves a lasting impression.

  • Gold Cut – $750 per song

Gold Cuts take the cinematic richness of the Silver Session to the next level, offering an expanded canvas for storytelling and emotion. With up to 15 minutes of music and multiple tracks across several instruments, this tier is perfect for extended lyrical epics, ambitious concept pieces, or scoring short films and animated works. Gold Cuts deliver sweeping, fully realized arrangements that bring depth, drama, and dynamic range to your most expansive projects.
